I am wondering if someone can recommend specific products or good brands to start or even websites. There are so many out there, I don't know where to start and am very confused by the information out there.

Nightly moisturizer
Vit C serum (don't really want to make my own)
Anti-wrinkle treatment (is retinA or retinol better)
Daily sunscreen
Sunscreen for pool/beach (I always freckle no matter what I use)

Thanks for all your help!!!

Hey Bella I am new here as well. Welcome I guess to both of us

Here is a list of what I am using and what I plan to use once the UPS man delivers, after MUCH research on the web and recommendations and then what I have used in the past with little or no results. I have tried alot!

Here is what I use now:

am routine

1) Peter Thomas Roth Anti Aging Cleansing Gel (love it!)

2) Clinique #3 Toner (thinking about doing away with this because of the alcohol in it)

3) Clinique dramatically different moisturzing gel (love it! great light weight moisturizer for oily skin)

then I apply my makeup. My makeup has sunscreen in it already so I dont apply additional and thats only because I have oily skin and live in humid Florida and they all seem to make me real oily and my makeup slide off.

pm

1) I take my make up off with Boots No7 make up remover wipes

2) then wash my face with Peter Thomas Roth Anti Aging Cleansing Gel

3) Clinique #3 toner

4) Green cream Level 3 and leave on about 15 min

5) Clinique dramatically different moisturing gel

6) Clinique Repairwear Intensive Night Lotion (not so great, replacing this with Philosophy when it gets here)

7) On top of the night lotion I apply Rareminerals Skin Revival Treatment (to new to say if I like it or not)

8) Lastly for eyes Lancome High Resolution Eye with Fibrelastine (using while I still search for mymiracle eyecream if it even exists)

I rotate alternate nights using the Green Cream or Philosphy Microdelivery multi peel pads. I am only doing this until I can build up to being able to use my Green Cream Level 3 twice a day and everynight and then graduate up to level 6 and then 9.

I just started using the Green Cream last week and cant wait to start seeing results.

I have also ordered Philisophy Vitamin C boost to add to my moisturizer and have found nothing but great reviews on this. Gets great reviews on the Sephora site.

I plan to replace my nighttime Clinique Repairwear with Philosophy Save me night serum. It also gets really great reviews on the Sephora site.

Here is what I have used and didnt get enough visible results with:

1) Clinique zero gravity repairwear lift. (hardly saw any changes at all with this)

2) Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Recovery Complex (seem to do great for awhile but then its like my skin got used to it or something, it just stopped working as good)

3) Olay Regenerist Night Recovery Treatment (never did see results) just super oily the next day. Tried a few Olay products and I am just not and Olay girl.

4) Clinique 7 day scrub (actually this is still ok for a quick and not to strong exfoliator)

5) Cosmedicine exfoliator (this one too I still use on occasion for a quick exfoliator and it helps my make up look smoother if I do this in the shower before getting ready)

6) Clinique Repairwear Intensive night cream for eyes (nada, nothing)

7) Clinique Even better skin tone corrector (nada, nothing)

8) DHC Concentrated eye cream (nothing) I used something else from the DHC line and had heard great things about this line but didnt care for any of it.

9) Estee Lauder Future perfect ( same thing as the other Estee product. Starts off with a bang and then it just seems to stop working)

10) I have used the Clarins 2 step skin brightener as well and didnt see anything. However my mom who is 58 swears by this stuff.

I think that is everything. If I think of anything else I will post it. As you can see I try alot of stuff. When I say they dont work too its after giving the product months to make a difference. So I give everything a fair shot unless it just immediately is to greasy for my skin type. The stuff I swear by I really swear by. I am 38 years old and grew up and still live in Florida. I was such a beach bum when I was younger and lived in the sun with dark tanning oil slathered on to get as dark as possible. With the products I use now I get lots of compliments on how great my skin looks. But also I do my routines religously because I am a freak about taking care of my skin now that I am older and seeing some lines and hyperpigmentation. Hopefully I am not to late
Sorry so long but hopefully helpful.

All I found was below and it only says avoid toners and astringents cause it can be to drying and my skin is so oily nothing is drying.
Please elaborate.

How To Use Green Cream

Cleanse face with a mild soap or cleanser. Then apply a small amount of Green Cream to to the entire face, initially avoiding the eye and neck areas. Start by using Green Cream every other night for 1 to 2 weeks and gradually increase to once or twice daily as tolerated. For maximum benefit, use Green Cream in the evenings when possible as this product can easily be inactivated by light.

Occasionally, a burning or stinging sensation may be felt during the first few weeks of use. Redness or a mild rash can also develop. Discontinue use of the product for a few days and apply a bland moisturizer or mild hydrocortisone cream or lotion as needed. The latter should be discontinued when symptoms are improved.

Flaking may occur since dull sun-damaged cells are being shed and new, younger cells are being stimulated. As needed, using a mild exfoliant followed by a moisturizer can help shed the peeling skin.

Precautions with Green Cream

Retinoids, as found in Green Cream, can increase your sensitivity to the sun so try to minimize your exposure to sunlight wherever possible. Wear a broad spectrum UVA/UVB blocking sunscreen with a minimum SPF of 15 daily, year round to protect skin from the damaging effects of ultraviolet rays.

Discontinue using Green Cream a week before waxing the skin for hair removal.

Avoid astringents or toners as they may be too drying.

Keep out of reach of children.

Avoid contact with the eyes. If product gets in the eyes, rinse thoroughly with water.

mebethini- I use green cream, started with level 3 after 3 months went to level 6 after 6 months went to level 9. I have used my moisturizers with it and have had great results. Actually, I was given directions on my regimen by customer service on the green cream site to use it at night and to wash as usual, apply green cream, then another product I use called spin trap, then my eye cream, then moisturize. So that is exactly what I have done, for as long as I can remember. But really, it is ones own preference, but I would definitely moisturize.

Bella2009- yes product shopping can be very confusing-it does take alot of patience. I usually get the best advice on forums and looking at the reviews. I usually do alot of research before I buy anything. I use alot of different brands, I am not a big believer in sticking to just one. For face wash, I use a gentle wash by PCA. But tend to mix up my face wash depending on my mood
. I use a product called Spin trap by Diana Yvonne, I will either use her Vit C or a brand called Skinglow. I use an eye cream that is a Vivant brand called Wink eye, and for moisturizer I use either Squalane, emu or jojoba oil. I have used Retin A in the past, and will if I have a blemish or two. But 99% of the time I use Green Cream for my retinol cream. As for sun-screen I use a brand called Colorescience. Normally when I pick a sun-screen I make sure it has zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. As far as sites go, I would google any brand you are curious about, and that will lead you to all the sites that carry those products. I hope this helps a little-

I wanted to let you know that I found the Green Cream. I was wanted to know what you really thought of the product? I mean if you really think it is a product that you have seen an improvement in your skin while you have been using it.

The green cream is basically a retinol product and takes up to a year to any see any progress in the skin! When it finally gets delivered to me in the Uk il let you know how it goes but there is the green cream forum! However i think that till you get up to level 6 of the cream you may not see much improvement from reviews iv read but not started this myself so am just really letting you know what iv read about this however do start at level 3 as think this can stop skin from purging too much! Always were sunscreen too!

Thanks gym rat for the info on the Green Cream with other products. I am going to continue using my regimen as well. Thanks again for clearing up the confusion. Skippy most places on the internet where they allow people who have used the product to write messages have said they started to see an improvement in about 3 to 4 months. Purging starts at about 6 to 8 weeks, then after that clears up they see a positive difference. Of course the longer you use the better improvement you will see.

hey gymrat I saw you have tried alot of brands and really dont stick to one so maybe you can help me.I cant seem to find an eyecream that does anything. Can you recommend one that combats fine lines and darkness? Also do you put your greencream around youor eyes and howlong do you leave yours on for. The 3 is seeming kinda weak for me so I was thinking maybe if I left it in longer or is that just a waste of time?

I have a crazy question. Right now I am using Neutrogena healthy skin night somthingoranother and have not seen any results in the fine lines on my cheeks but it has only been a week. I do plan on making other changes...

But I wanted to know...are the changes in the skin permanent or just induced by the product while you are using it? I.e what true benefit does the retinol (or other wrinkle reducers have)-get rid/heal wrinkles? make the appear less while you use the product? actually improve your skin or just make it look better? slow the aging process?

As usual, thanks for helping out this skin-care challenged gal!

Mebethini-I leave my green cream on, then apply my next product. I apply mine at night after i wash my face. I don't put it on then rinse it off-if u want to go up to level 6 try getting a few samples. I get mine from DianaYvonne site. Also what i would recommend is using 3 one night and 6 the next until you know your skin will be ok moving up to the next level. Also, I use green cream under my eyes then apply my eye cream. Currently, I am using a brand called Vivant, and it is their Wink eye cream. I get this from DianaYvonne site as well. Other brands I like for eye cream is Yonka and Sesderma. But really try using your level 3 green cream under your eyes then apply you eye cream, and do this at night.

Bella,
Hi! This should be called The Skincare Bible. It has everything you want to know about preventing skin ageing:

Skin Rejuvenation Infopack

You have to answer a questionnaire in order to download the InfoPack, but it is worth the extra time, believe me! It's just some no-BS factual info, free of ads or cosmetic companies' hype.

HTH!

Thanks gymrat. I am a real airhead and have been using green cream as a mask treatment and then rinsing it off. I swear I read somewhere where someone was doing that so I thought thats how it worked until I asked Kevin. I felt like a real ditz! I swear only I would do something like that! Thanks for all the eyecream suggestions (and ILUVNY for yours too) I am going to checkout the reviews on all of them. I am using Lancome right now(and i isnt cheap) and I am not noticing anything with it at all for me, but some people swear by it.
