Hi,

I am an esthetician looking for some ways to diminish the visibility of stretch marks on a clients stomach (from having a baby) I have heard microderm works wells, but I dont offer that. Does anyone know of any other solutions? Anyone had any success with salicylic acid? Please let me know!

How her stretch marks looks depends on the elasticity of her skin. It can also be a matter of genetics. You could massage with vitamin E oil into the stretch marks, she should do it on her own especially after shower. She could try Tretinoin cream but it's by prescription only. Also cocoa butter is good but I think the best results are from a dermatologist or surgeon.

I also read, that carrots are good!
smash the carrots, and put them before sleep in the area of the marks for some minutes, then take away the mixture, but don't clean the area, just cover it with something and in the morning clean it... but I also think that a dermatologist is the solution.

Hi SkinSavvy,

I'm not sure if I can help you with this... it seems that you're looking for a professional solution more than OTC or home remedies.

Salicylic acid is not an option for everyone, because it can cause severe allergic reactions.

Certainly, there are some natural microdermabrasion creams that can achieve the results you want... but in that case, you'll most likely be offering advice more than a professional service. And, well, the other option is to acquire a dermabrasion machine... I guess it depends on how much you love your client!
