I'm usually getting red from shaving my throat. Here's my shaving routine:

-Warm water on the skin
-Applying the shaving cream
-Using a non electric shaver
-Moisturize

I'm thinking about applying thermal water instead of just normal water, any other tips on how to avoid redness? Also, I'm planning to switch to a non electric shaver because that's more preferable when using a self-tanner.

Have you ever considered using a pre-shave oil or something before he shaving cream to prep the area? So many good products out there. I use mario badescu pre shave conditioner instead of shaving cream but for guys, its suppoed to be applied first. It reminds me of Dippity Do seting gel from the 70's. Smells weird (not in a bad way) but makes me vey nostalgic. Use a very sharp, fresh blade and dont use hard strokes. Maybe shave after showering so the skin is more moist?
