Hello, I've started using Retin A (0.1%) to combat smile lines, eye wrinkles, acne and the appearance of pores. I'm surprised at how harsh this stuff is. I know it initialy causes irritation and temporary worsening. My questions are as follows:

How often should I be using this product on my face? I've been using it twice a week. I did try 4 days in a row which was a mistake.

Is there anything I can do to cover up the temporary worsenign of smile lines? They look absolutely horrible and I'll soon be meeting a woman I've been chatting with on line. I don't want to scare her off.

Thanks in advance.

Two to three times is enough. 4 days in a row, especially if you've never used it before, is too much.

Also, if twice a week is too much, try a lower concentration of product.

If you can afford it, hit up a dermatologist or cosmetic surgeon for some collagen, juvederm or restalyn. They will plump & soften the smile lines.
