Reverse ageing -by clearing our subconscious mind

I recently came across a ebook about ageing....it's by an indian author....very interesting....he says we age becuase of overflow of thoughts and it's emotions.
He also exposes some ancient techniques to remove these thoughts from our subconscious mind.
He says "face is the index of the mind and not the body" so you can't bring back you innocent face by doing excercise. We have to remove these thoughts and automatically we'll get back our innocent face....

I don't believe this. Although we look what we feel and becomes what we feel but not totally true. Can it means I will look like 12 years old again?

The only way to make us look younger is to avoid the ageing elements of the sun, stress, pollution etcetera...

And to find the right skin care treatment which is the most difficult thing to do bcoz most companies claim they are the best and that's why forums like these helps tell us about our experiences from their products...

Well I don't know about reversing the effects of aging. But it is true that stress and emotional issues can cause premature aging.
.............................also too much sun and smoking.

If i had my time over again I would live in sunglasses as my eyes hate bright lights and sunshine and I have the wrinkles there to prove it.

Very true. Sunglasses help prevent wrinkles as well as cataracts.

Thnks Donnalvx!

I do believe this to be true somewhat! How we hold our face, our "facial posture", has a LOT to do with our interior mood, our "index of the mind".

I don't think it alone can reverse the ravages of time, but it sure has merit in presenting a happy, serene countenance! Witness the Dalai Lama - he has wrinkles, but he has such a childlike smile and twinkling eyes!

Would you be able to share the title of this book?

Yes, I'm interested in this concept. The more time goes by, the more I become convinced of the power of the mind. Very difficult idea to really grasp and apply though... but I'm tryin'!

What is the title of this book, please, donnalvx?

I totally agree.

I'm also interested in reading more. I read a book one time that said it was our expressions and negative emotions that helped lines etc set into the facial tissue. So for example the 11's were a sign of stress or intense concentration during our days, and over time we did these expressions and relived those emotions in our body without realising it. So I can kind of see the point he's making.

Which of his techniques have you tried? Do you feel they have worked?

This can be true, to some extent, maybe by power of thought, we think that if we do that we will age better, so we do.

My mom has a child like mind, she loves disney cartoons
... and she sure does look good for 58. Her body looks 25, it's crazy! Not ONE stretch mark, cellulite or varicose veins. She fits in my bikinis
... and she used to smoke like a pack and 1/2 a day. But the house could be burning and she still won't stress

i think our way of thinking will affect everything that happens in our bodies to a lesser or greater extent, but that article is a rather simplistic view of it. although there are germs of truth in it also.

less stress equals less cortisol which is always a good thing!!
i love your new picture periwinkle lol
No, I haven't read the book. The first I heard of it was on this thread. If you google it I found the first chapter somewhere free to read on line.
