sensitive spots on face

Hi all,
Five months ago I developed a small blister typ spot on the side of my face. It burst about 3 weeks after it first appeared. It is now a red mark that grows a layer of skin, which sheads every week or so without healing. Also I have 3 more similiar sensitive marks on my forehead that have been there for 3 or more months. They don't change size. They just wont go away. The doctor said don't worry about them unless they change size, colour shape etc... any ideas of a god remedy to get rid of these? Any ideas what they could be caused by? eg the sun?
