i use bare minerals and it used to work good for me, but now im trying to find something that is a sheer power that evens out skin tone, but without rubbing off on clothing. i dont like foundation... too cakey, but im looking for a very sheer loose or (preferably) pressed powder, that doesnt transfer to clothing

Well, I sometimes use Cargo Blu_ray pressed powder with a fluffy brush as foundation over my sunscreen and spritz it with mineral water spray afterward in the summer for a natural look. It seems to even out the tone and airbrush away any lines or pores. You have to use a light hand of course or it will get cakey too. Sephora has it.HTH!

I use the spritz trick as well but after I apply mineral or any kind of powder I use a soft complexion brush and gently brush all over my face -- takes any excess loose powder off, or run a complexion sponge over your face.

Maybe you have to try it out to understand it - but I don't get this spritz thing. How do you keep your make-up in place if you spray yourself in the face? I know that it's not like using a garden hose, but it seems like it would make a mess of things. It's a real mystery to me

ha! I thought so too, but those mineral water spray cans like Avene and evian and Uriage have such a fine mist that it really doesn't disturb your makeup. DHC skin care makes one too. It's a Little Luxury.

Another vote for BE Mineral Veil. I started using it years ago, then switched to Everyday Minerals finishing powder (which was also nice, a little cheaper, but didn't seem to be as fine in texture to me), so then I went back to BE MV. I apply it with a full-size kabuki, but it's not a BE brush.

I have a silly question really: Does anybody know if I can use BE mineral veil over liquid or cream foundation and not necessarily over a minerals foundation?

Thanks.
Hi Pumi, that isn't a silly question at all. You can actually use andy BE or any mineral makeup with liquid or cream poducts. You do what works best for you, that is all that matters-

Pumi, but if you are acne prone, which I think you are, be careful using BE. The bismuth in it can cause irritations and flare ups for those with acne prone skin. I know for me, it makes me itch terribly.
