Does anyone else seem to have a reaction to certain shower gels?

Anytime I seem to use them, whether it be Lynx, Imperial leather, Radox.. I come out in spots and they are very large and sore.

I saw my GP about this and he just gave me cream for the spots.

Is there a certain ingredient in shower gel that causes skin problems?

CluelessBloke...I share your problem, I have given up on shower gels and I just use Cetaphil now, I think it is available at Boots.

I don't think you get enough exfoliation with those shower gels to prevent spots. Unless you are using a loofah or drybrushing before the shower.

An antibacterial soap like Dial works for my DH in the shower.

So is it a good idea to use some sort of exfoliation before showering?

Yes, drybrushing helps the skin shed it's dead layer gently and revvs up the lymphatic circulation to keep you looking and feeling healthy!
