I know people, including my mom, who have had good luck with bag balm - just rubbing it on and around the nailbed everyday, but that may just be for strengthening the nail. You may want to talk to a manicurist.

I'm REALLY bad about getting my nails done. Even though I LOVE having acryllic nails because my natural nails are SO thin...it's like going to the dentist for me! I usually wait about a month to get a fill - I know they say to go every 2 weeks...I'm bad.
