Just found out I'm insulin resistant and while looking at the side effects of taking Metformin, I saw that it can actually lighten skin. I even read a Reddit post talking about this very thing.

Has anyone taking this experience this?

Infelizmente, a metformina por via oral não ilumina a pele. no entanto, topicamente ele ficará mais claro no local.

I can't understand why taken orally doesn't work to lighten the skin, as it is down-regulated gene (MIFT).

I take metformin for PCOS, Id be unsure if it lightens though since I use lightening creams and oils.. from what I understand, insulin resistance as a side effect may darken areas of the skin. Perhaps as the metformin works in the body, you gradually lose the hyperpigmentation induced by having too much insulin .
