Try white eye shadow and white eye liner in the inside of you eye for brighter whiter looking eyes - although don?t overdo it as you may end up looking like a ghost!

I dont have really small eyes but without make up on they are quite small.
I use black eyeliner and kinda..drag it out at the side just a little bit. Sort of like an Egyptian but not that much.
Everyone always told me to use lighter colours and not a definate black eyeliner but i found that doing that worked more.

hi there! i think it depends on how you line the eyes - on the upper lid, from the inner corner to less than a third of the way in, the eye liner should be a light colour. then line the lid, possibly extending slightly, if you want a more dramatic look. the bolder the line the more prominent the eye will look. for a more natural look go for a grey/brown or to make the eyes stand out more, go for a black with a blue/purple tint - which can also make the whites look whiter. on the lower lid, do not start the line from the inner corner - leave a little gap again for highlighter, then line to the outer corner. the thickest part of the line should be around the largest part of the eye....about the centre of the eye to about three-quarters out, finally falling into a line that blends into the outer corner.

Hi, I have quite small eyes plus pale eyelashes (which doesn't help!) and I've worked with makeup and skin care for many years, so hopefully I can help.

The colour of the eye liner doesn't matter, its where and how its applied thats important. A small eye always looks much bigger when it appears 'lifted'. To achieve this apply a fine line above the top lashes, making sure there are no gaps (if your eyes are close together you can extend your liner out slightly which gives the illusion of them being further apart) Don't ever use eye liner underneath the eye-it might look ok close up but from a distance it will make your eyes appear dark and small.

Next, your mascara is really going to open up your eye and is vital to complete the look. Personally I don't think you can beat a good black mascara no matter what your eye colour.

Under no circumstances go for the 'smokey' eye look, always wear lighter shades of eye shadow and don't use a darker shade in the socket line (this is only suitable for people with larger or deep set eyes)

So basically what you are doing is lightening and brightening the eye area and the whole focus is on the eye and lashes.

Finally, your eye brows shouldn't be too thick as this will drag your eyes down so make sure they are nicely shaped - it's amazing how much bigger your eyes will appear with well groomed eye brows!

Obviously we all apply our makeup looking in a mirror close up, but it's always a good idea to check how you look from a distance as this is how most people will see us, this is especially important when you have small eyes. I hope this helps!

I have small eyes and fully lined eyes or thick lined top eyes absolutely does not work for me! I do however use a small amount shimmery white eyeshadow dotted in the inside corners of my eyes when I do the whole full on make up bit.

If your eyes are small do not draw a lower and upper line, it will make your eye smaller.
use mascara to really open up your eyes, the fuller your lashes...the more it draws attention to your eye and makes your eyes stand out.

use light colors on the lide, light colors accentuate an area, while dark colors do the opposite. Dont use more than 2 eyeshadows because smaller eyes cant pull off dramatic eye looks like bigger eyes. Use a light/shimmery color on the lidlight and shimmery reflects off light, causing your eye to appear bigger) and a darker more subtle color on your crease. Even when it comes to face
contour color- DARKER to create a shadow, to downplay something
highlight color-Lighter to reflect light, to highlight something

light colors are used to draw attention to something! thats why the highlight color is light, to bring out your browone and it completes the look of your eyebrows.

dark circles will sink in your eyes more and make them appear smaller, so use a light colored concealer to get rid of any dark circles,

when you use eyeliner, concentrate more on the outer third of the eye! like I said earlier, never do "Arab" eyes, looks like that need someone with wide bigger eyes...if your eyes are smaller, than the darkness will overwhelm it. Its a better idea to smudge eyeliner instead of doing a harsh line that flatters wide eyed gals.

your eyebrows are like a frame! its important to get the perfect shape.

THIS IS PERFECT! A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF MAKEUP FOR SMALLER EYES

Tips to Keep in Mind:

Apply lightest shadow or shimmer to the lid
Keep dark shadows on the outer part of the eye
If using black eyeliner, apply to upper waterline
Accent lower lashline with Glitter Liner
Apply white or flesh-colored eyeliner to waterline
Curl your lashes
