Is this a sign that rosacea is getting worse? I already have redness on my nose and parts of my face. Do you think IPL is really worth it do you think? I'm only 26!

Laser treatment will get rid of spider veins on the face. It's not cheap, but relatively speaking it's not so bad when you think that you're getting rid of them within just a few treatments.

I've had the laser treatments, they work great, they ARE expensive and don't make any plans for the first 3 or so days, your face will be somewhat swollen with grid marks

I'm going for IPL consultation next Thursday, and hoping that I won't need too many treatments. My main problems at the moment are about 3-4 obvious broken capillaries that other people can notice. I figure I'll get them done anyway. I hope they can be dealt with in just one or two treatments. Will the swelling and everything be gone by about a week later?

The "grid" marks and swelling are very noticeable the next two days, on the third day it's still there but you might be able to get away with it by the end of the week you'll be so happy to had it done. Check on-line for Dr's or clinics that do the procedure and look up their reviews. They are costly so be sure to check and see what they offer as the cost depends on what's being done, i.e. your whole face, just your cheeks, your lower face. I hope that helps and good luck.

I would just simply go for a laser treatment if I were you. It's much easier and it will get rid of those veins instantly.

Please think twice before getting IPL/laser, I know many people who have had very bad outcomes. I was burned by V-Beam laser to treat broken caps. Not only was I burned in the areas where treated but the laser traveled and burned other areas of my face where I wasn't treated (even under my eye protection). I saw a burn specialist who described this as "splash effect". Even if you have the most well known Dr. for IPL/lasers treating you, the machine can still malfunction and then it is malfunctioning on your face..... Also, treated caps often come back, so laser treament may be ongoing, therefore upping the risk.
