sunspots

I had cryotherapy (freezing using liquid nitrogen) on 3 of my sunspots about 6 weeks ago and my spots did not go away but are darker and look worse. Are they now scarred?
My face looks terrible with these dark spots and now I'm thinking of getting laser surgery to remove them? Is it too soon or has anyone had the same experience with cryotherapy? Or any advice regarding laser removal?
