Hi everyone, im new here, as soon as i came across this lovely forum i knew i had to be a member and i knew u guys will help me A LOT (i hope)

over the past 2 years the skin on my legs (lower half, knees to ankles) i started getting LOTS of bumps and ance like (white heads) with much research and a close examination to my legs i realized they're "Ingrown hair" but whats confusing me is WHY am i getting them now? i never changed the method of my hair removal or anything and my legs were just fine why r they going crazy now?? ... and on top of all that i have lots of scars now too.

I tried waxing instead of shaving -nothing changed
i tried not to do anything for months - nothing changed

I do exfoliate regularly, and now im using the natural loofah and i have to say it helped A LOT.

I just need help with what i should do?? my legs are a mess now and i dont dare show'em
(red bumps, scars, white heads...etc NASTY)

Ive heard of "princereigns gel - no ingrown hairs" ..
has anyone tried it? does it really work??... any other suggestions??
PLEASE HELP with any advice u have....

Thanks in advance

hey nasTala,
my recommendation is that you need to keep exfoliating, with a round soft brush, and with a gel soap, not bar soap- it leaves a film on the skin. you may want to see a dermatologist, they can prescribe an antibiotic (probably topical) in case it is dermatitis (inflammation of the skin). and then you will want to use either the cream prescribed by a doctor or a moistuizer that is free of alcohol, dye or fragrance. try and remember if there was something new in your diet or in your life that could have caused it- make sure to always change your sheets and wash your clothes and sheets in a sensitive formula detergent. hope this help
good luck

Have you tried a really fresh razor? Sometimes a dull razor will cause ingrowns and bumps since you tend to press too hard with a dull blade. What about an AHA body wash and lotion that promotes exfoliation? Tend skin? That's a big brand for ingrowns and bumps. I've been shaving with Mario Badescu Pre Shave conditioner which reminds me of dippity do from the 70's. Its a blue globby gel that you're supposed to use with shaving cream with but I use it solo for shaving- everything. It smells nice too like lavender. I used to get ingrowns in my bikini line but this seems to help- and a very sharp razor!!
