hey again SCT fam <3

i know there's some threads on here that talk about what celebs may be using, the naija girlies, the youtubers etc. ik its hard to figure out what some of these ppl are using. im on a mission to dig in and find out the nitty gritty LOL. i have been trying to do some extensive research.

as far as some popular celebs like rih, bey and nicki etc., i think they are doing gluta iv. they were already light to begin with so this probably boosted their skin up to lighten even more. even blac chyna she was like medium brown skin/caramel in the beginning but now she is super pale. i know she promoted skin lightening creams before but do you think she actually uses those or does gluta? sza lightened up to. shes like maybe 2 shades lighter? (sorry im not good with shade identification) than she originally was she was dark skin now shes like a brown color but there is a brightness to it and yellow undertone. i know she was using gluta supplements bc she posted it on her story one time, do yall think that alone got her that color? she looks very natural so i feel like it is. what do yall think these ladies used?

now celebs like for example diana ross and the jacksons, i have no clue. they are light AS HELL!!! now ill give it to latoya because she was one of the lighter jacksons but she is insanely light now like super pale. and diana ross was dark skin and janet jackson was brown skin! diana is much lighter lighter now she literally looks like her mixed kids skin wise. and janet has maintained a nice caramel type of tone but she never went back to being as brown as she was when she was younger. what do you guys think they could be using?

on the topic of naija/african girlies, i figure they are probably using a cream from mixologists. khayi mbau says gluta got her that light but i highly doubt it was just that. bc she was dark skin before and is so pale now. greity riverson is SUPER pale and i wonder what she used exactly bc she sells really bad products and scams ppl. there is a spa in nigeria called house of phreedah bodycare, thats where that video that went viral of the lady in the bath with her skin being peeled off came from. what do yall think was used? ive seen some ppl say fongicide, but i have no clue what that is. there is also a place in south africa called yellowbone factory.

for the bollywood girlies, i wanna know the tea on what they are using too!!! because they get soo pale. some of them started from a brown shade (def not a dark brown, more like a dusky lighter brown) and now they are pale. for example, rekha and priyanka chopra. both were the same color like a 'dusky' brown but now they are much lighter ESPECIALLY rekha, she is insanely pale but i like the color on her and it doesnt look bleached it looks natural (to me at least). majority if not all the bollywood girls have lightened their skin a considerable amount and it looks really natural. i wonder what they are using out in india or in the bollywood industry to get their skin like that.

now for youtubers/tiktokers/ig girls/influencers and whatever else you wanna call them! shiko's skin looks really good, and her lightening line contains natural products. finesse artist says that her skin lightened from glutathione but she lightened A LOT and she was dark skinned before so idk but she seems very open and real about everything which i appreciate from her so idk! shiko comes off that way too. mayskincare her skin looks sooooo good and she seems real about everything as well i just dont know what products she used exactly to get her skin the way it is like her routine and i dont know how dark she was before. asante and greity FORGET ABOUT IT they are scammers and will never reveal what they actually use! they both push their lightening lines so hard. mimi von snatch her skin looks really good and the products she uses are mild and natural so i wonder how that would work for others or if her skin is just bomb and takes well to her routine. she also seems very real with everything too.
there is this one tiktoker i saw and she is jamaican she used this huge mix of things like carowhite and ultrabright serum and volume 40 developer (these are the only products that i could identify but there is probably more) and she got super light and pale in like no time in like 1-2 weeks and she was really dark skinned before. she says she did a stripping process which i guess made her skin peel and lighten quicker. does anyone know how this is done? also using hair bleach to lighten skin i have never seen anything like that before that doesnt even seem safe?? do yall know how that is supposed to work? another tiktoker named kasandra who lives in nigeria i believe she is superrrr light and pale and her lips are pink i think she is def using a mixologist cream because she was dark skinned before but now she is insanely light. she claims she only uses olay and her own diy soap like girl please. who is she kidding rn.

lol sorry this is all so long but drop any tea or info you guys may have on any of these stuff. its so interesting to me. as always, i hope you are all doing well 💗

There are no secrets really beyond what we already know for naija/ African girls.
High HQ, steroids, mercury and all other kind of nasties. The market there is not regulated so mixologists mix as many actives as possible and that’s how they get they results. I have used mixologists soaps in the past and it has made me light light so that gal may be telling the truth.

For the American celebrities, with that much money, the possibilities are endless. Well formulated , custom made products from dermatologist, top of the range beauty products, in -clinic peels, lasers, IVs and liposomal supplements etc.
Nutrition is a huge part of having a bright and clear complexion, these people have nutritionists and private chefs so it just all adds up.

Its the steroids, they use steroids + hydroquinone. Not really mercury tbh but steroids works well with hydroquinone and will WHITEN you. They also use a bunch of anti reactives to counter the side effects from steroids, once they get their colour then they reduce to using it usually 3x weekly. Steroids can be fine to use as long as its short term and you slowly wean off into something more natural to stop you loosing shades. Arab women use the same, Asian whitening products are usually the ones laced with mercury.

Well I can guarantee some use mercury as these products were tested. As for anti reactive, maybe short term.nothing will counter the effect of steroids per se and there is nothing as “ weaning off steroids to natural)
Natural can’t maintain the results of steroids because by the time you come off it , you can suffer from steroid withdrawal which can be severe for some people.
Either way it’s usually not a good sight

I understand, but from a clinical perspective you are supposed to wean off steroids. It may take some weeks or months but it is possible to wean off into a more natural route without having major relapse. I am not recommending it unless you suffer from skin issues your dermatologist prescribes it for but the question was what are these girls using and this is the reality of it. You're more likely to suffer steroid withdrawal if you use it long term, this is true which is why it clinically is not recommended for more than 2 weeks of daily use and requires it to be weaned off.

You are actually right , for those who have skin issues, that’s true
I was only pointing out that it is impossible to wean to natural products to “ stop loosing shades) .

Honestly when you go from steroids to natural . It’s a completely different ball game.you will not only lose shades but you melanin cells will over produce and the person blackens literarily lol before they then start to return to “original skin”

Hmmm...

I do like Mimi Von Snatch, she gives good advice and is real with her routine. I also like her skin tone.

About a year and a half ago, I decided to lighten my skin ( I was already quite fair but I was always unsure about going all the way) and Mimi von snatch and May skincare on youtube were the people I used to kinda lead my skincare routine. Also, I did get a lady mixologist but the difference this time was before she mixed/whilst mixing we had a sit down to analyse my skin type and we worked with products that have worked for me in the past to create a mix and that was when I began seeing a massive difference in my skin tone. Another thing was the mix was not a strong mix and this paired with a routine of exfoliation and also taking rest days, one would never ever believe that I was never as light as this 2 years ago.

Another thing I also know is that yes, gluta IV works but it works slowly and over a long period of time. This I know because the lady who mixed my lotions explained and broke it down to me. She explained that yes, the IV takes but almost all the light-skinned girls who use IV also follow up with supplements, strong skin-lightening products, spa sessions, full body scrubs etc and that's when they usually go from one shade to like 4 shades lighter. She told me it costs a fortune to go down that route, the results can be very drastic but they work really well.

I don't want drastic, I want steady hence the lotion route and rest days in between. This is about all I know.
All those influencers definitely do a lot more than we know.

PS: I am in Nigeria.

In Nigeria its alot easier and cheaper to go to the spas, to gluta IV ect compared to the West. Depending where you are also, there are no body whitening spa's like in 9ja but its possible to lighten without gluta IV and body spa's, there are other youtube promixers that have achieved 4-5 shades lighter with just topicals and maybe some supplements but I won't recommend them because its always some steroids or some African product with not so clear ingredients involved. I guess it depends how desperate you are lol. I achieved NC42 from NC50 within 2 months before by using natural products alone (IKB - same company Mimi Von Snatch uses) but since its discontinued and Mimi's routine did not work for me at alllll. Do you know what the lady mixologist put in your mix?

I tried to keep it as simple as possible. I don't remember the brands exactly either but I do remember these from the first time she mixed them for me.
1 Lightening lotion - Supreme White Lotion to be precise
3 whitening serums - I do not remember the exact ones.
1 tube - mostly for reactions and she uses this off and on which I like.
Amlactin Lotion plain on my rest days.

Then I try to go for full-body scrubs once in like 6 months.

The only other thing is that in the first mix, she used the tube which I know contained some sort of steroid then the second mix, she did not use a tube. I think she did in the 3rd one though, I cannot remember.
Whenever I go back to her, she knows what to do for me without me having to explain.

I stabled upon May skincare before she was extremely light, back then she was very transparent, nice and answered all the questions. She’s achieved her goals and changed completely, lately she doesn’t even respond to questions. Her videos have poor volume and click bait tittle. When people get on top, most of the time they forget where they came from

oh. wow. I did not realise that.
The volume issue though! All the time!!!
But I do like some of her advice and a lot of her product recommendations work for me (minus the ones that contain hydroquinone). Her recipe for strong lightening soap worked for me, but I stopped because I do not have that time anymore and I gave up on making my own skincare recipes and mixes.

For supplements to add, try ladies shine it helps with dark knuckles, dark lips, also try white babe, meditamin, beau pweitz, and a collagen and vit c. For serums- look for skin free milk, kenacol to prevent stretch marks, miracle DERM to prevent reaction.

I would have to agree. I don't think anybody but the doctors and close associates of these stars really know what's going on. I honestly think that it's frequent trips to the spa (exfoliation and skin building) along with the most exclusive creams/injections that are available. It does seem kind of odd though that dermatologists and estheticians would not want to share some of these things with the world because if they did, they would have so much more business. Why the secrecy?

Has anyone seen the results of Rwandan celebrity Lea Umutesi? She was a Miss Rwanda finalist. On her Instagram you will see her after photos only.
Google Image her to see her Before. The results are outstanding and unbelievably natural. I though she was mixed raced until I Googled her and realised she naturally dark skinned.
