There are no secrets really beyond what we already know for naija/ African girls.
High HQ, steroids, mercury and all other kind of nasties. The market there is not regulated so mixologists mix as many actives as possible and that’s how they get they results. I have used mixologists soaps in the past and it has made me light light so that gal may be telling the truth.

For the American celebrities, with that much money, the possibilities are endless. Well formulated , custom made products from dermatologist, top of the range beauty products, in -clinic peels, lasers, IVs and liposomal supplements etc.
Nutrition is a huge part of having a bright and clear complexion, these people have nutritionists and private chefs so it just all adds up.

Well I can guarantee some use mercury as these products were tested. As for anti reactive, maybe short term.nothing will counter the effect of steroids per se and there is nothing as “ weaning off steroids to natural)
Natural can’t maintain the results of steroids because by the time you come off it , you can suffer from steroid withdrawal which can be severe for some people.
Either way it’s usually not a good sight

I understand, but from a clinical perspective you are supposed to wean off steroids. It may take some weeks or months but it is possible to wean off into a more natural route without having major relapse. I am not recommending it unless you suffer from skin issues your dermatologist prescribes it for but the question was what are these girls using and this is the reality of it. You're more likely to suffer steroid withdrawal if you use it long term, this is true which is why it clinically is not recommended for more than 2 weeks of daily use and requires it to be weaned off.
You are actually right , for those who have skin issues, that’s true
I was only pointing out that it is impossible to wean to natural products to “ stop loosing shades) .

Honestly when you go from steroids to natural . It’s a completely different ball game.you will not only lose shades but you melanin cells will over produce and the person blackens literarily lol before they then start to return to “original skin”

Hi Kweeny.

It stands for SLC24A5, it's one of the genes responsible for the production of melanin in the body.
The slc pills I think inhibit this gene.
I think there a south Asian brand that sell it ( or something similar) but in injections form.
Many thanks...
Seems like the future, could be readily available to all

I am keen on finding a peer reviewed study on this but nothing as of yet is online.
We can surmise that this is a synthetic form of the gene so maybe it isn’t FDA approved yet?

In the meantime , users please continue to update us.

Also do you not have the fear of waking up porcelain white while using this?😂😂😂

Very interesting thread!
I am very daring but I am scared to try this product.
I will be going back on glutathione. If anyone is sceptical, glutathione works especially when combined with vitamin C, Nac and milk thistle( silymarin) .
Adding MSM is the icing on the cake.
You hands , feet and lips will lighten up well too.

Can you tell me why you’re scared to try the SLC tablet ?
I am a bit worried about “ it’s method of operation”
It’s a synthetic gene, to simplify things so I am just wondering if it may impact other genetic “ materials “ since the skin literally covers the entire body.
What I am saying is there are documents online that tell us what it is but no studies have been carried out , no side effects recorded, what to expect in the next 5 years etc

See skin lightening is generally risky but anything that alters my gene......

PS - this is my opinion and I genuinely appreciate everyone sharing information about SLC

Hello Kweeny, I appreciate your input and understand your concern. This is a really interesting point you bring up.
But I don't think it alters the gene, alteration of a gene is irreversible and definitive and is in the same field of gene therapy. It is a reversible inhibitor and is excreted in few hours by the urine.
Just like many other lighteners out there that inhibit either enzymes or hormones in the body.

Lighteners have several ways of targeting the melanin like inhibition of tyrosinase or alpha msh or of many other enzymes/hormones.

These targets usually have many other functions in the organism than just fabricating melanin. That doesn't stop people from using them.
Alpha msh for exemple is involved in neuroimmune processes, mood control ( deficit of alpha msh is linked to anxiety, alzheimer, depression, sleep and appetite control.
Tyrosinase is involved in wound healing, and some other neuro processes).

The thing is anything that lightens your skin from the outside or inside out is inhibiting something.
So this active is no worse than another one ( im more afraid of topical products containing steroids or mercury that can harm the immediate health over the short and long term by accumulation in the tissues). It just has another target.
As long as the effects are reversible, for me , I'm okay with it. And this peptide is inhibiting a gene that is only coding melanin which for me is pretty fantastic because that means that unlike many other agents, it doesn't interfere with other mechanisms.

I find rather fascinating that everyday are discovered new ways of targeting melanin.

The thread is about what could the celebrities use for their skin, and this product fits well ( whether or not one is okay with it).

And I also understand why most of the times, celebrities are secretive of their regimens.
Some have probably access to products that will never be FDA approved, nor accepted by the general public. Because it could be so controversial, and attract a negative attention.

That said, it's important ( and I agree with you on this point) that people should have all informations to make their informed choice and I hope that maybe in the future we see more studies about this product and even about other new exciting ones.

Happy lightening everyone and also merry Christmas to y'all.
Merry Xmas to you.

Very good points made. How does this differ from Glutathione which as a melanin inhibitor, may also affect other genes?
I’m thinking of trying the SLC tablets for 3 months, then maintaining with Gluthatione and Vitamin C (as well as exfoliation). But still researching…
So generally antioxidants may help to improve skin clarity. Not just gluta. Vitamin c , nac etc also does the same
There are no studies that prove that gluta has a direct impact on genes (as far as I know)but there is evidence that when your liver has had its fill, your melanin production starts to decrease.
Not only that , you start to produce pheomelanin( responsible for pinker lips, palms and soles of your feet.
Honestly I am not saying one is better than the other as I haven’t even tried SLC, my reasoning is just that if gluta is already being used in massive doses sometimes in clinical settings, what in my microdosing could possible go wrong?

Keep us updated if you do try😁

This is where I am right now in both weight loss and lightening. When I look in the mirror, I don't see the level of my skin lightening that I see in photos of myself. For some reason, I am expecting to look as light as I do in a dimly lit room as I would in natural sunlight or a well lit room. People keep telling me that my skin has lightened a lot but ,although I recognize the changes, I still keep lightening. I justify it by saying I'm trying even out my entire skin tone( which I am) but , if I see 3 different shades of skin on my body, I'm going to try and catch up to the lightest parts... which just keeps getting lighter because it feels impossible to isolate the different shades on my face and then different shades on my buttocks, my hands, my arms, my knuckles,my knees... everywhere.lol I'm admitting this to myself, but I am still going to continue lightening. Is that complexion dysmorphia? I don't know but I do not want to wake up one day and look milky white like some of these people.
Most experienced skin bleachers have experienced what you are describing.
A few tips you might find useful and I still apply this till date.

—Apply several layers of lighteners on harder areas ( elbow, knees , butt , heels etc) and you may apply more than once daily if you get the chance.
—- once you start to notice contrasting skin. Take a step back from lightening the lighter areas. Apply exfoliant all over but lighteners only on darker areas
- understand that some areas might always be slightly darker than the rest of the body, for example outer arms even in naturally lighter people due to exposure to sun, weather etc

—you can indeed isolate certain areas while lightening by occluding your feet , hands and knees, be careful with back of your knees as it is very sensitive . This has worked like magic for many members . NEVER occlude with acids please.

Try supplements too. It can help even and balance things from the inside.
