Any advice or input about whether or not Botox is worth it. I still haven't made up my mind about how I feel about poking your face with lots of needles. But that could be from my intense phobia of needles!

What do you guys think?

They say that Botox has to be repeated every few months - so it is costly to maintain over the long term. I haven't done it, and have no plans to, but if an event comes up where I need to look VERY VERY VERY good, I'd consider doing it on a one-off basis. For now my plans are to focus on my current regimine of Retin-A, Vitamin C, and facial exercises in the hope of minimizing the lines that I already have and preventing new ones from forming.

Bella have you tried a good retin product and vitimin c cream! skin doctors sell them, skin ceuticals, green cream there are many of them around personally id give these ago before doing anything! Hey yes there is side effects to botox but however putting these creams on our faces, drinking fizzy drinks, mcdonalds all have side effects to them as well! I dont like botox but whatever makes you happy but try other options for good six months to start with, good luck

I wouldn't because I don't like needles; also you do have to continue with the procedure. It comes down to it's your body and if you have the money and want to look a certain way go for it. However go to a really good derm -- I've heard of some women who regret the procedure, one lost feeling in one side of her face. Good luck.

HI Bella!

Well, it really depends on the condition of your skin and what you want to accomplish.
Wrinkles? sag? uneven tone? fine lines?

If you just have some crows'feet that you want to smooth out, you could use ViperVenom (a tripeptide) or argireline, both of which are topical and temporarily keep the muscles from working in targeted areas, like Botox without needles. They aren't long-lasting and have to be applied daily. If you don't like needles, you won't like Botox!

If you have fine lines and uneven tone, Retin-A + Vit C are your friends.

If you have sag, get going with the facial exercises!
Hope this might help you in some way.

Botox is a real no-no for me personally. There are so many anti-aging products out there, Bella. Why don't you search for reviews and then try the ones that are most effective before opting for Botox. I have myself recently learnt abt retinol products and vitamin c serum. These are supposed to help improve skin tone and fight aging signs. I would advise you to have a go at these options first and see if there is any improvement to your skin. Botox is like the last resort when nothing works!!

NY,
Haha! I think you are trying to do it all and it can't be done!
Just stick to the basics: Retin-A or Green Cream, C serum, sunscreen and do facial exercises and you WILL NOT need Botox! It looks unnatural. IMO.

Chelsie, I'm glad you made a smart choice 'cause this is very scary s**t!
Back then these informations weren't available.

Fawnie, even though it looks unnatural, I REALLY miss it, at least I did not have the deep line between the eyes, the 3rd eye
I had to chose between pain, losing my eye sight or looking good

I know Marie! It's a quick fix and sooooo addicting! But honestly, you can get more lasting results from exercises and remodeling agents (Retin-A, Copper Peptides, vit C serum)....sounding like a broken record?

To me, it's like the difference between a snort of cocaine and good health practices: they both give you energy, but one of the choices is more long-lasting and better for you!

ho yes I forgot, I'm only looking at good looking men

Neck is fine but it tends to get irritated easily so go slowly.
Don't forget the chest area too!

Mireckca: Is that your puppy??

Chelsie (and Mari who asked a similar question on another thread) -

I wish! He is the exact likeness of a puppy that I do know and love. I found this particular photo on a website that I check everyday - Puppies, Cute Puppy Names, Pictures of Puppies & More | Daily Puppy - and use him as the wallpaper/background on my computer.

I see that you love dogs too - so check it out. Everyday there is a different puppy and his/her story and lots of hints and info about different breeds. It is my second favorite website (after SCT) right now!
