You are welcome!
Just make sure you don't get your skin scubbed around the same time you do this peel it might cause PIH.Lol after updating this thread for the umpteenth time and after some serious realization I decided more is exfoliation is what my skin really needs, until I start my lightening journey mid-August . I finally know what direction I'm taking my skin ! I'm steering clear of steroids forever, my skin deserve so much better . I'm super excited for the products I'm using during and after exfoliation . I don't find the need to update you on my exfoliating journey so I don't think I'll be updating my thread until I incorporate lighteners . I think it was Tret, Hydroquinone, Kojic Acid. I don't remember the percentages I'll have to check. It significantly lightened me(maybe too much at a certain point lol) But I dropped down a or two. You just need to be good at maintaining it seems. I used some other things but I never really exfoliated but I know that's unpopular. I'm still far away from when I started either way. What did she prescribe?
Must be a compound. Tretinoin has exfoliating properties though . I love exfoliating regardless of trying to lighten my skin. I like my skin to feel soft & smooth . It’s hard to maintain pregnant cause it’s not a lot of products you can use , plus I was lazy to be honest.I think it was Tret, Hydroquinone, Kojic Acid. @KizzyKisa what make you say that salicylic acid exfoliate better for darker skin , i don’t knw why but i feel it Weak , i use Paula choice sa 2%Hi ! I’m bringing this thread back from the dead ! I got lighter and dipped which I see is very common in this forum community lol . I’m back at square one due to having a baby ! I learned a lot and know what works for me but I don’t mind sharing . I don’t have a skin lightening regimen to share at the moment because I’m currently exfoliating doing full body lactic acid peels and using AmLactin 15% . I don’t use any exfoliating soaps . As far as my face I use salicylic acid and glycolic acid based products . Salicylic acid is the best acid for deeper/darker complexion. I also do bi-weekly chemical peels , I use the ordinary peeling solution . My skin type is normal but I do get a few pimples occasionally . Sunscreen is a must ! I also take multivitamins, liposomal vitamin c & msm crystals .
It’s far more gentle than glycolic acid don’t cause nearly as much PIH . Does less damage while delivering better results outside of just skin lightening. Try several salicylic acid peel I promise you’ll see better skin overall
