Hi all

I did my first Vit C serum, using Kassy's formula, minus the SKB (used Glycerin instead). Thought I was doing it right but now i've put it in my lil brown glass bottle, its gone cloudy..

put some on my face and it stung a lil at first, but this lasted only a short while. Is this normal?? Sorry to ask this question..
esp.. if its answered already somewhere on here...! I'm an amateur..:p

Yes this is very normal, what percentage of L-Ascorbic Acid did you use in the serum? Higher concentrations of 20-25% stings at first and irritates then slowly ceases over a couple of days or weeks. I make a 15% vitamin C serum and it doesnt sting as I mix it very well and refrigerate before using it on my skin. The cloudiness is normal, just shake it up as hard as you can and use it, you should throw it out if its a funny brown color and make a fresh new batch. It is also important to note that L-Ascorbic Acid serum even in low concentrations such as 10-15% can give SOME people irritaiton such as the stinging, it will go away and yes it is working.
