Anyone tried vitamin C powder from Aloette??
Yes, I have a stash of about 7 in my cosmetic drawer. When you buy through the Shopping Channel you always get bonuses -- I wouldn't pay $40 for the pot. It's just that you are given instruction to mix the powder with your moisturizer or whatever -- when you do everything liquifies -- I'm never sure if I have enough Vit C powder mixed in or too much. I like the idea of the timed-delivery system of the product.

Of the Aloette line, the facial firmer, eye cream, redness reduction cream, brightening lotion & pigment treatment are good.

the C3 cellular correction complet is the same as retinol or retinA
Vit C powder should be the same as a vit C serum

Mari im getting confused are they not using the nana technology then?
two of their products have nano technology the Ageless Science ionic Energy Balance and the Ageless Science Active Erergy Serum. The other products have the peptides, vitamins and cosmetic binders. I'd have to look up each product. the Vit C powder is ascorbic acid plus some other additives.

Actually -- I learn a lot from watching the shopping channel and listening to what the product mfg. say about their products. If I can access the ingredients I look them up on skin care and find out what they do.

As far as nano technology -- this is very new to me -- I've read some very positve reports saying how it will change medical and cosmetic formulation -- for instance for medicine it could very well delivery a potent medical compoun to reach deep into a tumour and zap it. For cosmetics it could penetrate into a deep wrinkle and help puff it out. On the other hand I can't seem to get answers when the nano particles stop penetrating. They have now passed various agencies with approval in the UK and US, some question still in Canada.

So get the list of ingredients, check skin care and check out the product or ingredient. You can also do this on skin care dictionary -- but they don't have a lot of the new compounds.

Making your own serums makes sense because of the cost -- but you have to make sure you are buying the proper ingredients. I don't make my own -- chemistry was my poorest subject. I also check where a product is made.
