As weird as this is going to sound but the lighter I get, the more I think I am not light enough. This is because different parts of my body have different shade😂.

I’m so happy this forum is coming back to life, 3rd pic is definitely brown a very light brown with a light caramel look. Last one is not brown, but caramel. Both are light skinned

my ideal is Chlo3 and Hall3 , they look caramel but are actually light especially Chlo3

yeah their complexions are very nice
Chlo is a bit lighter than Halle, and I think they are considered right in the cusp of being light skin

Tbh 😭 whatever is lightskin is what is lighter than you basically! I’m the same tone as pic 4 and I don’t even feel light skinned unless I’m around darker skinned people but once upon a time that was lightskin goals to me lol. Now I just feel brown lmao.

Yeah I too am 4th pic and my goal is between Chloe & Halle but idk how to track my complexion accurately especially when maintaining

how do you ladies do it? (Sometimes I feel darker and there was a point I was TOO light)

I think most people track it down with foundation shades
I don't really like to use celebs because their tone fluctuates a lot because of multiple factors like season, lightening even hair color

the particular brand I use is sheglam from shein
shein.com/SHEGLAM-Skinfinite-Hydrating-Foundation-Chantilly-Flawless-Dewy-Foundation-Hydrating-Coverage-Invisible-Pore-Concealer-Poreless-Non-Greasy-Lightweight-Natural-Soft-Liquid-Foundation-p-12182241-cat-1868.html?mallCode=1
the reason I used this foundation is because it's very cheap so I can buy multiple shades and switch as I lighten
if I feel like I'm getting lighter I try one shade higher than my usual foundation if it fits perfectly I know I lighten a shade
I use this board to track it down
right now I'm shade Cappucino , my initial shade was around Russet and my new ultimate goal is Almond
Nose Brown Cheek Skin Head

I’m 330, I can get away with 310 but the undertone is too neutral. I do like my glow now tho as 330
Yeah it’s always there you just have to then accept yourself and love on your complexion. Also getting lighter doesn’t suit everyone, I got to 300 at one point and my white fiancé told me I looked sick lol. Now I just wanna fix my knuckles and I’m gooooooodddd I already feel like a goddess in my skin, idc what I fall under “lightskin or brown skin” in the end I’m lightskin to me! (Even if the camera sometimes called me darkskin at night!)😂

mm that's good info
again my ultimate goal is your current shade and I thought it would be around 310,
I couldn't pinpoint exactly the fenty shade so thanks for that
and it makes sense I know it varies according to undertones not only how light and dark you are

are you looking for anything to fix your knuckles or did you already find something that works for you ?

not yet, but I’m so desperate. My HQ cream doesn’t work for me anymore, alpha arbutin isn’t doing anything. I’m doing LA peels and it remains the same after peeling. It’s actually heartbreaking. I saw you mentioned dodo lotion, piment doux and Amlactin? How did you apply it? Daily?

I applied it daily twice a day
basically i apply the am lactin on the kunckles wait one hour than apply the dodo lotion followed bt the piment deux
my knuckles aren't terrible but they aren't perfect
my left hand is okaish but my right hand knuckles are so stubborn
I'm trying to find something else that might work
there is this shop that sells all skin lightening related products at first they were just selling vitamin c and glutathione in liposomal form but they expanded their line a lot to creams, soaps , serums etc
and this month they are launching their knuckle cream I might give it a go if it have good results with it I will let you know
I have a very good feeling about this

Hopefully the cream you’re gonna buy will be good
This is my goal color. Maybe one shade lighter. It looks absolutely dreamy in the daytime. Especially on rainy days.

My original birth shade was a beautiful light caramel, then as I got older I had no idea about sun protection, PIH, skincare etc I just lived as normal soap and water.

Then as teenage years came I guess it was really dark maybe Gabrielle union.
My darkest at one point was fantasia.

Fast forward to adulthood, I learned about all the beauty tips and tricks learned about HQ as I was introduced to sunscreen, fair and white and nadinola.

Now as of today I am very much lighter. Two shades away from the goal picture.

I've been exfoliating 3x a week, as well as taking oral supplements and using proper creams.

My toxic trait is even though I'm trying to be lighter, when I do my makeup I still add bronzer to warm the skin . Lol sounds crazy but I know I'm not the only one. 😂

I know the feeling I was also a lot lighter when I was younger than through the years my skin got progressively darker until one day I was like enough and start exfoliating and lightening

hope your reach your goal sooner I'm a bit further than you probably
but again hope we both reach our goal shade in no time

but idk I think when I get there i'll prob want to be lighter
