The lines above my upper lip were quite noticeable and even distracting. I consulted with a plastic surgeon about them and also some moles to be removed. He did the mole removal first and I came back for a peel above lip.
Well, he didn't really tell me what to expect from the PHENOL he had just put on. It was bad. Real bad. No pretreatment for pain, no after treatment for pain. It burned steadily and consistently for hours until I think I passed out.
Then he calls a couple days later to tell me one of my moles was melanoma.
But it did the trick. No more vertical lines. Although there was a streak of VERY white skin outlining the upper lip for ever. Then I had a NEW friendly, more human like plastic surgeon use a CO2 laser on my peri-oral and boom. No more white. No burn. It was gross for a couple days but no more lines.
