Hey guys I thought this would be an interesting thread.

I was searching youtube for females/males, specifically brown paper bag colored people or darker...to see what they have used for skin lightening. I feel like looking at videos of people who have lighted several shades (full face and body, like 3 shades of better) and arent afraid to post a vid about it were/are brave...and can be very helpful for us/guides etc...cause skin lighteners love to see LEGIT before and after photos of bleachers....however, we dont always know if some of the pics are photoshopped etc.....imo its easier to gauge the amt of skin lightening one has accomplished via a live person vidoe instead of some questionable 'pics'....and this will also encourage others/many of us as skin lighteners

I also had a hard time finding any of people who have lightened significantly...but i fould vids of a couple of people etc.

So I am going to post their vids here (not really an invading of privacy type thing since they post the vids on youtube for the world to see anyway )

If you guys can, please post some vids of known people on youtube hwo have bleached successfully, 3 or better shades full body, or similatr. And not divinediva, cause we know her stuff is dangerous, though she has drastic results, we know she used steroid overload.

Thanks guys.

**some of these girls did not lighten in shades from what i have seen, but still its good to get more info...please post more if you find more...

Not a youtuber but a tiktoker claims that she only used Olay and her own DIY lightening soap to have such changes, do you guys think it’s possible?

Before:

After:

I genuinely wonder what she could’ve used cause her skin looks amazing and this is something I am trying to achieve.

Olay will never, ever ever do that. Tell her to stop lying. Soon she’s going to start selling us creams and lotions and make us think that that’s what made her light, meanwhile she’s using other things

Nigerian lightening products are superior. The mixologists will make you white-passing with pink lips if you like, however they'll claim it is natural but lace it in steroids and HQ. I tried it before, it made my skin so white but getting it to the UK is very expensive! Actually I bought a bottle from a popular mixologist once with great review, her lotion was watery but smelt exactly like carowhite cream.

Be careful @BiegeCaramel , I don't recommend purchasing from mixologists, youtube peeps, instagram peeps, etc. You don't know where any of their "products" are whipped up. You don't have any idea what is being added in those "products". Don't believe anything these people claim or say worked for them. Do your own research. If a product doesn't have a professional label and ingredients listed on it, that's your sign, stay clear!! Too many shady people claiming certain products/ingredients work, etc, when they are really just out to make $$ from you. Always purchase from a reputable business, one you can fall back on if something goes wrong! Just my 2 cents ;)

I definitely agree with that @gymrat ! In order to know the integrity of one’s skin, it’s best to avoid the promixers/diy-ers.

I think people get desperate and do foolish things. They are gullible, and fall victim for gemicks. So many of those, come to SCT, looking for help, have horrible stories, from purchasing shady products. Even though they know better, they still get caught up in the moment.....even more so now with SM, IG, etc.

Acid is acid, could be battery acid for all you know!!

I get it, but don't give up trying. Trial and error is what it takes. When we get desperate is when we make bad decisions. Continue trying products, keep things simple, so you are able to know what is working and what isn't. Sunscreen is a must @BiegeCaramel even if you think you don't need it, you do.

Can you please advise me? I was thinking to mix my skinlight cream (the HQ version) with f&w serum (HQ also), Not trying to become natural until I have some results. Do you think this is a good mix? or do you think I'll need something stronger? I can't seem to find where they sell authentic CL/CW oil anywhere and I'm worried about fakes

@BiegeCaramel don't mix them, layer them. Use the serum then the lotion. Or, use the serum in the AM and the lotion in the PM.

Ah okay! Its bcos i wanted to thin out the skinlight cream, its so thick. Does layering it make it better effective? I thought maybe to add CT+ oil too. Do i need to layer all 3? Or maybe just the skinlight and CT+ serum (they both have HQ), have you heard of CT+ before? sorry so many questions, im just desperate and hoping itll work out

Hear me out, I'm on the hq train right now and the hq + LA combo is working very great for me. I learnt some few facts about hq in my dermatology rotation in school that I think might help.

1. Hydroquinone is balanced differently in different creams/oils so try as much as possible to use hq products within the same brand. Mixing different products might offset the effective concentration as different companies work with different chemical experts if you know what I mean. If you have to use different brands, then layer the products.
In this case because the consistency of SL is an issue, maybe you can mix the Skinlight cream with the CT serum in your palms during application, rather than mix the 2 in a tub.

2. Hydroquinone penetrates the skin best at an acidic pH. This makes it work perfectly with acidic lighteners like lactic acid or glycolic acid. The best way again is to layer your combo starting with the acidic lightener eg in my case I start with 12% LA lotion and layer my Hq lotion or vice versa, when I feel like the first layer has sinked into my skin.

In summary skinlight is good enough in my opinion, you can mix it with ct in your palms if you can't find a HQ oil of the same brand to mix it in. Also consider adding LA/GA to your regimen to boost the effectiveness of your hq 💜

Thank you ChocoWhite
I will be using F&W AHA-2 lotion 2x a week and RetinA 3x a week so hopefully that helps me. I will try the layering method too.

By adding other products to it isn't "thinning" it out, what you would be doing is diluting it and or causing it to be less effective.

@BiegeCaramel Tame your routine/product application so you can keep up with what's working and what isn't.

Now that your peeling (I saw on another post of yours) give your skin time to heal from the peeling. You can't continue applying product after product on freshly peeled skin. Once it gets to the peeling stage, your skin will change daily. Freshly peeled skin needs to be pampered and protected.

I fear you coming back saying you've burnt your skin and or have PIH. You've used so many products in such a short amount of time, you won't know which caused the damage. Slow down, let your skin be for a minute, before you cause yourself more issues then what you originally started with. 🙏

Thanks Gymmie, really don’t want to go back to square 1, so I will heed your advice. I’ve been rubbing the peeling areas with palmers skin therapy oil, ordered some Shea butter today to use as well. I’m thinking to only use this for a good 2 weeks? Do you think that will be enough time? I’m just going to be using lightners/RA on the parts I did not peel

@BiegeCaramel how many days has it been since you applied the peel? Are there any pink/reddish areas? If so you want to keep neosporin or some type of antibiotic ointment on those sensitive areas until the redness is gone. Don't force your skin to peel. Let it do its thing. You can apply moisturizer just nothing abrasive something very plain. Which Palmers Skin Therapy oil are you using? There are several. A carrier oil, grapeseed, jojoba, something like that is perfect. You don't want to over moisturize, but enough to keep your skin supple.

Its the cocao butter formula, and I added some EVOO to it as well. I have very little/mild redness in some areas but nothing extreme or worrying, most areas have calmed down and are my normal complexion (not darkness), I started peeling on Friday, so like 5 days ago and since its covering large areas, there are many parts that are still yet to peel. I imagine the peeling will continue for a while.
