Hello everyone!

I had been using Diana Stalder Kojic Acid Papaya soap for a two weeks 2x a day, leaving it on for 30 mins then washing it off, then once a day for about 3 days, same method. Then last week I realized I had a fine rash all over my body. I'm pretty sure I had an allergic reaction to the soap since I don't use anything other than that and organic coconut oil on my skin (stopped using lactic acid bc I realized I didn't balance the pH properly).

My question is, can I maybe try the Likas soap? Or should I just try some other kind of soap (not Papaya Kojic acid) altogether? Thank you for your help :)

Perhaps you're not allergic, maybe it's just a case of too much too soon? That stuff is supposed to be pretty strong. For now, stop all use of it until the rash clears up and moisturize. You can try using it 3x a week and leaving it on for perhaps 20 minutes at a time if your heart is really set on the soap. If not, then you can try Likas but start off really slow, test the waters first. I'd say likas 3x a week at first and if it works out okay, then you can increase usage.

HTH :)

I think you should of maybe eased up into it. You went pretty aggressive on the soap. I think a break is much needed like jac said. And maybe just using likas would be your best bet, since likas is less harsh then kojic soap.
