Hello.I've just joined this site and this is my first attempt at anything so i hope i'm putting this in the right place and it makes sense!
I'm a 33 year old woman with REALLY old skin.I have severe, deep wrinkles around my eyes that go all the way down my cheeks, wrinkles around and on my lips and deep forehead wrinkles. My skin is also dull and has some red spots and redness.I also suffer from blackheads and big,red cyst pimples.(I'd be happy to post pics if anyone wants them,im not sure if thats allowed or necessary here)
Money is a real issue for me,so im just wondering if anyone has any advice on any cheap things i could try,to maybe make my skin look a little younger.I look AT LEAST 10 years older then i am,probably more on a bad day and its really starting to get me down.I dont feel like an attractive woman,i feel like an old lady who people give up bus seats for (really, that happens).I have friends my age who still go to clubs and wear little dresses. If i did that i'd look like mutton dressed up as lamb.My body isnt an issue, but my skin REALLY ages me.Even make up tips would be appreciated. At this point in time i cant afford any professional help, like facials or botox etc.I use A LOT of serums, eye creams and moisturizers but nothing seems to help.I dont know what to do,but i cant stop caring. Thanks in advance,

Hi thanks for replying.Ok,i quit smoking 15 months ago, dont drink, dont take any medications,i eat fairly well.Lots of fruit and vegetables, nuts, seeds, fish, good oils etc.I take multi vitamins,Acai berry supplements, flaxseed oil and Chai seeds.I drink heaps of water and herbal tea,i have one coffee a day in the morning. My weight is 55kilos and is in the healthy weigh range for my height (155cms)I dont drive so i do a lot of walking plus around 3 times a week of planned exercise (Jogging, dancing etc)but i will admit im not a naturally energetic person!I sleep about 7 to 8 hours a night, and have recently started sleeping on my back to help with wrinkles i got from sleeping on my side with my face squashed against the pillows.I always wear sunscreen and a hat if out in the sun,but never sun bake or anything like that.I think my wrinkles are just from the way skin moves when i smile/frown etc.I can see that my cheeks push up and create the eye wrinkles, but apart from never smiling i cant see what else to do.

The wrinkles age me so much.My best friend is 11 years older than me and looks younger then i do.I'd just like to look my age.A woman in her early to mid 30's.I know this might sound awful, but im sick of being invisible. No matter what i wear or how i do my hair etc i just look so much older.Im not sure if that makes sense.Im just looking for ways to make my skin look younger, the pimples i can handle.Im not a pretty girl as it is,so i could really do without the old skin as well.

Hi! Just as Fawnie says the Retin A and C serum are really helping me too. Im going to post pic as well. Im also being more religious about my sunscreen. Im enthusiastic and hoping to stop the aging for a few more years even though Im 60 next year. So keep going and you have youth on your side.

Thank you everyone for your kind words!! I'm so excited i've found this site.No one i personally know understands my obsession with my skin,i think i'm considered a bit strange for it actually! Might be because i'm a stay at home mum in the suburbs-most woman couldnt care less what they look like around here, and OF COURSE they are the ones with line free skin, argh!!!!! ;-) And Dennyjune,i agree you look fantastic in your Pic!!!

Other than retin a and c serums, Id add some kind of oil like vitamin e oil and evening primrose. They are very inexpensive and will help keep your skin soft and moisturized and soften up some of the wrinkles you have. Plus they are very good for your skin and acne! And of course the sunscreen to prevent any further damage from the sun.

Oh wow, just had a look at the pics!!! Thats the first time ive seen REAL before and after pics,as in not ones from ads trying to sell you something and wow, there really is a difference!!!! I just got my first tube of Retin A cream which i will start using tonight, and i'll make sure i take before pics!! I suppose i'll have to rework my skin care routine now,i use A LOT of stuff on my face,i pretty much apply creams, serums, gels all day long.My skin must be really, really dry because i think most peoples faces would be like an oil slick if they used as much as i do!!!!

Just be careful in the beginning with the Retin A which I know you know, but it is easy to get the uglies from it. If that happens, just back off on your usage for a bit and it will get better.
