Yes all races can tell the difference in shades. Studies prove this ect. So anyone ever told you black is black is just another way to get out of a awkward position. Whites,Asians ect. are not shade blind...so please don't mention black is black.
No one confuses the brown crayon with the black crayon.

So with that being said...
I heard of black women from America or Canada visit italy only to be mistaken for as hookers. Mainly due to some African women going there and trying to survive,so when black women want to vacation they get the assumption that there ready to spread wings for pay. I heard the same can be said about other countries too.

It sucks because I'm black I may get asked for a good time as long as I provide a happy ending.
As a African American I have had African men ask me for sex no strings attached because of our media makes them think I'm ready to twerk and lay on my back after :/
I don't know why I want to travel...maybe because others are? I don't know.

My goal is Nicki minji shade,so without her fame and income and just her body and shade how will I be treated in places like....

1) south Korea
2) Italy
3) south Africa
4)Brazil
5)India

The above are places I want to visit sometime next year late.

I'm sorry I can't tell you how you will be treated or perceived in those places. I've heard about black women being mistaken for hookers though. my only advice is to stay away from media that tarnishes your image as an African American woman and people that believe stupid stereotypes about African American women because of it. dress well and appropriate and speak well. hopefully other members can be more helpful. happy lightening!

Honestly, in this day and age, doesn't matter the skin tone all races need to be careful when traveling. My advice is to pick your destination wisely and do your research. With a little research you can learn so much about a place, before you venture out. Be extra careful if you travel alone.

Don't put yourself in harms way.....however, I would punch anyone who asks for a good time with a happy ending, that's insane!!

I can't say about the other counties, but I did watch a vlog of a Black girl who went somewhere in Asia (maybe it was Japan?) for a trip. She was the only Black person the people had ever seen in real life in some areas, so this happened (I'm paraphrasing but this is how I remember it):

There was a geisha there taking pictures with the regular people. She had to leave before everyone in the line got their picture. But then this Black girl happened to come nearby, so they all just forgot about the Geisha and started taking pictures with her...apparently, they thought she was also just there for display?

:nixweiss:

She also said that she had to get used to long, fascinated stares from people...I have to try to dig up that video...

Two of my favorite YouTubers (Who are Black and Dominican, I believe) recently went to South Korea and they seemed to love it, but it was one of their biggest cities, so people there must be familiar with different tourists...

I guess my point with all of this is that it might be very fun and stress-free if you stick with cities in those countires where people are actually familiar with tourists of all races...but if you veer out of those areas, it might get awkward.

Yes I also remember watching that on YouTube. YouTube is a great resource for research into where you wanna go. I remember I saw a video about a black person going to Spain and they said the same things you did and it broke my heart because that was one of the places I wanted to go visit!
I refuse to go to a country that treats black ppl like dirt!

Don't worry about what people think about you. Just focus on traveling somewhere safe! There are countries where women of any ethnicity are even mistaken for prostitutes based on how they dress. You need to just watch out and be careful.

The bottom line is all about presentation. The way you dress and present yourself matters. There are countries that are religious and frown on a woman whose dressing reveals curves and parts of her body which in her country isn't a big deal. Such women are immediately taken as prostitutes even though they are not and approached by silly unenlightened men. Just be decent wherever you are.

I agree wholeheartedly......but this goes for where ever you are. Presentation is SO important. It says so much about you. If your out getting hit on like your a prostitute, then take a look at how you are presenting yourself.

Italian men love black women, I've noticed they tend to go for the darker skin type though. Brazil you will be treated no differently and the same goes for South Africa. Let me be frank India is an entire different ball game when it comes to black people and skin color in general. People will STARE and have biases, but then you will have kind hearted people who are just curious. I had the same reservations about traveling abroad whilst being black, but I told myself I will not let the perceptions of others put me in a box. So travel girl! Check out 'travel noire' instagram to join a community of young black people who travel the world. Good luck and don't forget your sun screen!

For India, you'd be treated as not attractive even with Ciara, Beyonce, Nicki, Black Chyna, Rihi's skin.

Because Priyanka Chopra, Asin, Bipasha Basu, Deepika Padukone are all considered 'dark' in Indian culture. What Black people cosider light they consider it dark. And all those women are lighter than Nicki Minaj. Even more lighter skinned women like Samantha Ruth Prabu, Prachi Desai, Yami Gautum are considered dark.

That's because they also have white passing 100% Indians such as Kainat Arora, Neil Nitik Mukesh, Kareena Kapoor, Preity Zinta, Karishma Kapoor, and so on. Their skin colors are what Indians prefer.
And a bit darker than them are Madhuri Dixit, Kanagan Ranuat, Dia Mirza but are also seen as attractive.

I hope I helped. That shouldn't stop you from visiting thought. 250 million Indians out of the 1.3 billion there can pass for black people. Especially those from the South.

In America light skin women are glorified especially Latin women. Dark skin women get treated like rubbish especially by fellow blk men. My light skin friends got so much attention when we was out there. I didn't get much attention and those time i was like a nc45 maybe a lil darker. My dark friend got treated really bad especially one time in the club she was next to a vip table and the blk guys where like move being really nasty then my light skin friend say down and they didn't say nothing she ended up leaving the club and going up she was really upset.
