hotcake:I didn't even know Tonique had a spot eraser
but no one here that I know of has used it. I'd stick to trying the cream instead or e-mail and ask if the spot eraser has 10% sepiwhite in it.

guesswhoiam:There looks to be one vendor to me trying to compete and one up the Tonique hospitalization story with their very own Fair and Flawless hospitalization story

lol

LightenNLift:Are you gong to try their gel?
I'd like see your review and testing results of their gel as well.

zana:lol Seems to be a lot of Sepi in this product!
sepiwhite, sepicalm, sepinov. I even found sepigel online.

Debunked:It's funny you ask that because it seems the only members besides myself who have used these stronger Sepiwhite products already have light or white (odine, LNL and karenannev) I'm the only dark skinned one and I can tell you the 5XF Gel from Fair and Flawless works BIG time to lighten up dark skin! Not sure if the Tonique gel works as good but it is priced a little less than Fair and Flawless.

Hey LnL I am also still fighting this brown junk on my arms from years and years of sun damage from beach going and such and not using sunscreen. I tried the 30% TCA as Lexi did but my results were just not like hers. It got rid of some, lightened it in other areas but I still have patches and spots. My option of course is doing the peel again in a few weeks, but the pain of it is almost unbearable! Yes it is only for 5 min but.........any way do you feel this product is for someone like me and how long will it take to see results? I have had some progress using the SE HQ gel and RA combo on my neck but that bottle is so small to try to use on my arms. Which do you think would be more cost effective the SE gel or the Tonique??

I think you should go for it, Tonique is 4 ounce and a little amount is incredibly spreadable if you get the gel, give the whole 4 ounce jar for 100 dollars a try, use it up on the arm alone, it should last you a long while since you only really need a little and dont slab it on, a thin coat is preferrable. 10x Intense Whitening Gel <<- link

Looking at my testing areas on my arms from the TCA at 30% I know it will take more peels to get it all. My thing is the pain it just freakin' burns!! Not saying I can't do it, I can but if I can do it pain free it sounds like a better alternative. Now tell me this do you think one jar will do it if I alternate with RA at night and will it be lasting if I am SURE to use my sunscreen from now on!

with the exception of steroids, all other skin lighteners such as Hydroquinone, Sepiwhite, Arubtin, etc. get RID of the discolorations and melanin from its source and exfoliates them away PERMANENTLY, its kind of weird but once you even out and eradicate your sun damage/discolorations, once you stop, NONE of it comes back BUT your original complexion does come back MINUS the discolorations/uneven skin tone, my guess is that the irregular melanocytes have already been exfoliated away and the new fresh skin is already even from the lightening cream/gel. One jar is enough to make a decision on whether it will lighten you or not, and my guess is that it will, one jar should last you a month used every other day twice a day and RA on the alternating days. Yes it will be lasting if you wear sunscreen.

wow that sounds so permanently promising, Light!

so for all this hyperpigmentation problem you have had, from past sun exposure, is on your body but not ur face, right?

and u have been using not peels, but products out there including retin-a, hq, fair & flawless, tonique... on your back? or where?? and ur 90% cleared, since aug? that's impressive!!

you can lay out plastic saran wrap on a flat surface and apply the cream on the saran wrap then you lay down on the wrap and wiggle around for the cream to be absorbed on the back, thats how I do my slight hyperpigmented back.

funny, what about putting a baggie over the sponge on the applicator? or would cream/gel fall off it?

in which case i like LnL's "stop, drop, wiggle!" method for the back

How in the world are people putting cream on their back

I've seen back applicator but the tip looked like a sponge and I don't want it to soak up the product.

ok so its my 3rd day of using the tonique cream...firstly i take back my comment about possibily looking darker...when the cream first goes on it is quite sticky and i think i was using too much. it gave me quite a shiny look and this just 'appeared' to make me look darker. i woke up this morning and although im very dry, i feel my complexion looks a lot clearer, maybe not lighter yet, but def clearer. im now using much less, as LNL suggested and im not getting that shiny look.

i also havent broken out...yet! fingers crossed i dont...in fact...i had a spot on my chin and it seems to have dried it out

so far so good...will keep you updated!

Hey LNL, do you think this cream would work for my complexion? here's my original thread: (ok i was just told this was advertising so I can't post the thread).
I'm asking because I just read your review and you said something about rebound darkening with the HQ and although I already bought the HQ/RA, I just started using only the HQ a couple of days ago. In my thread, i said that I wasn't trying to change my complexion drastically, just a couple of shades so my face/neck could match my body complexion. But when I even my skin, i don't want to have to worry about darkening all over again. So do you think I can use this product instead of the HQ and have good results after? Maybe after I get my desired tone, I can just maintain with just retin-a? Or some AHA exfoliator? Or maybe the DIY natural lightener you recommended to jazmyn in this thread

Can't post this thread either). I'd rather just use the retin-a or aha to maintain. What do you think?

No, I said there are chances of getting rebound darkening with HQ at concentrations of more than 10%, 4% is absolutely fine, its safe and doctor prescribed, you are good. If you already bought the HQ/RA, give it a chance for 3 to 6 months before and if you see significant lightening within that time then continue, if you are not satisfied by that time then you can look at Tonique, F&F, and Triluma. You must wear sunblock during the day. You can maintain your color once you reach the desired tone with sunblock, either Retin-A or glycolic acid/lactic acid creams, your pick. You wont have to worry about redarkening.
