I’m currently using natural products mostly from Mitchell Brand like Neoprosone gel with vitamin C. For the life of me I can’t seem to find any products that work just as well as Piona, Dodo lotion or G&G ever since the ban on those products that contain steroids, mercury or high levels of hydroquinone.

How is that Neoprosone gel working ? I gave up on Mitchell brand, they got popular with precious and IKB, then something changed in the formulas, not great anymore... I stopped in 2023, maybe they upgraded ? they need to bring back OG precious formula and IKB ! omg... IKB was such a STAR ! Back then I was complaining about dark spots, turned out, it was the vitamin C in the serums, any serum not only lightening , containing vit C " burns" my skin

it s really a struggle to find stuff that works like dodo, g&g ... I dont understand though, one would think by now we would have new molecules giving us flawless skin safely, or good Kojic acid , arbutin, sepi white products...I dont even mind a lil hydroquinone when theres no hidden steroids , HQ is actually so good and safe, over the years I came to this conclusion after reading so much on it, and using it on and off , when its not above 8%, used with retina a, and breaks.

This box, the soap is grey, im telling you, this is better than asantee. I leave it on for 10 mins and use an exfoliating glove to wipe of dead skin and it peels at the same time!!

 

Lightened me a lot, and is slowly helping me with my dark knuckles.

Thank you! It took a very very long time to clear my knuckles up. My elbows are also good.

 

I’m trying to figure this out too. Especially since hq isn’t over the counter anymore. Are ppl still using carowhite? Does it still have hq? I need a good hq cream.

 

My shops sells all the stuff (not supposed to) hehe.

My lightening lotions remain Dodo lotion and l'abijainese treating body lotion (not the carrot lotion that contains HQ because I don't do HQ).
And as the OGs know, to avoid nasties, I add half a tube of tretinoin gel 0.05% + any KA serum I can find.

If anyone is looking for product suggestions, tiktok is a goldmine. You'd find a lot more lightening creams and soaps etc however I stick to dodo and l'abijainese because they are affordable, accessible and don't contain any nasties or HQ.

My biggest challenge remains face lighteners.

THE FACE ! what a challenge to find a safe effective product for the face. Mitchell B THEY NEED TO BRING BACK THE OLD FORMULA OF PRECIOUS SERUM , we should make a petition to bring back IKB.

Hi Kaya, yes i no longer use bismid products
I’ve used their babymoon night face cream. although that particular face cream was always out of stock.
It was effective when i was using it. I think that’s one of their best face cream.
It just was always out of stock, i think that was probably the reason i stopped using it.

 

Hi gymmie, pls is it advisable to keep using tretinion gel that expired exactly 1year ago? expired June 2024. ChatGPT says i need to toss it in the trash.

Hi @chiny how are you!! LOL to ChatGPT 😂 you can still use it, it just won't be as potent. I don't ever toss anything unless I no longer use it, or it smells and has turned a color. There is no harm in using RA that has expired.
